Greenville, NC, May 18, 2007 —The Fontana Cattle Company located in Grimesland, NC, announced today their plans to manufacture, market and distribute a wide variety of high-quality, premium beef to restaurant owners and caterers in eastern North Carolina.
Fontana Cattle Company has been in the making for over 20 years. The registered Black Angus has been specially bred to produce a lean yet flavorful product, comparable to some of the best beef in the country. The herd is only fed grass, cottonseed, corn, vitamins, minerals and peanut hay. There are no antibiotics or steroids used to enhance growth.
The Fontana Cattle Company offers premium cuts that include chuck, loin, sirloin, round, shank, flank, ribs and filets. "This beef is very lean and can provide zinc, iron and protein to a person’s diet," said Gary Fontana, owner of Fontana Cattle Company and a cardiologist at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. "The flavor is amazing and it’s a healthy way to get essential vitamins and minerals."
To introduce themselves to restaurant owners and caterers in eastern North Carolina, Fontana Cattle Company will be hosting an event on Saturday, June 2 called "A Taste of the West."
